Our first meeting this year was the AGM on January 19^th, which was well-attended, and our new committee was appointed. Di Barker was welcomed back as our new chairlady and the other volunteers were Shirley Ward, Mary Butters, Liz Gulliver and Sue Woolgar. The out-going members of the committee – Linda Biddle, Sue Yellop, Margaret Chenery, Helen Hornby and Sue Crane – were thanked for all their hard work over their two years in office.

After the official business of the evening we settled down to a couple of rounds of “Bingo”, and the evening concluded with refreshments and cakes made by the out-going committee members.

Mention should be made of the tree decorated for the Festival Of Light at the Church, done by Shirley, Pat, Molly and Di. Our theme was ‘Baking’ and the tree was decorated in red and silver.
