As usual, our Christmas Social was a lively affair with everyone dressed in festive gear, the tables in the Vine Lounge adorned with pretty table decorations created by Liz Gulliver, a tasty buffet supper made up of our own contributions, Secret Santa, the Members’ Hamper Draw and a grand Christmas Raffle! Add to this a complimentary glass of Buck’s Fizz or Orange Juice and some Christmas background music – PLUS a couple of Christmas Quizzes – and you’ve got a great party! Read on for a Photo Gallery…
Pat and Shirley arranged the quizzes, the most intriguing of which was the Handbag Hunt, when in groups of four we had to find all the items on a list from our combined handbag contents! It just goes to show how much you can learn about someone from the contents of their handbag!
The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! Everyone was happy with their Secret Santa Gift, all the Raffle winners were delighted and Heather Robinson won the Members’ Hamper!
Let’s hope our next get-together goes down just as well – it’s the AGM on Thursday 16th January, at 7.45pm in Capel Library! (Anyone out there fancy joining the new committee…?)
