Our “In” meeting in July was a visit to the Orchard Players’ latest show, “Let’s Go To The Movies!” It was an energetic performance by the cast of all ages, of favourite songs from films dating from the golden age of movies to the present day.

There was a wide selection of numbers including “Moon River”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Singing in the Rain”, “76 Trombones” and “Skyfall”, to name but a few, and the finale “Happy” which got us all clapping along.

The lively dance numbers which accompanied the songs revealed the wealth of talent amongst the players, and the colourful costumes lit up the stage. There was certainly plenty going on for the audience to enjoy, and we left the Village Hall after the performance still humming some of the tunes. A fun evening was had by all!
