Our Summer Buffet Evening at the Bramford Cock was a great success! With our unpredictable summer weather  we had chosen to sit indoors, but we were in the conservatory looking out at what turned out to be a lovely sunny evening, so it was a good compromise! The landlord, Bill Stoddart, joked and made us very welcome as usual, and even performed a card trick later in the evening!

There was a huge variety of foods available, and we were invited to try some of everything and to go back as often as we liked! Roast meats and vegetables, pasta dishes, pies, curries and sweet and sour were all on the menu, so we had to make a lot of difficult choices – all delicious! With a range of desserts to choose on the blackboard and coffee to follow there was plenty for everyone!

To end the evening Bill gave us each a mixed group of playing cards and using a giant-sized pack he called out Bingo numbers until we got a winner – who was presented with a bottle of wine!

Our next “In” Meeting is on Thursday 6^th September at 7.45pm in the Library, where Debra Johnson will be telling us about “Couture, Hats & Fascinators”. Guests and new members welcome!
